CMG India: where recycling grows, technology grows too
31 August 2026
Luca Nanetti and Claudio Navone from AMUT Recycling will speak at the Recycling Theatre with a presentation focused on the quality of recycled materials and the contribution of process technologies to their value enhancement.
CMG Granulators will take part as a speaker at the AMI Compounding & Recycling Expo, taking place on 23 and 24 September 2026 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, with a presentation dedicated to the quality of recycled materials. During the two-day event, the CMG team will welcome customers and industry professionals at booth E1006.
The presentation, “Not all regrind is the same: Quality recycled material for compliance and added value,” will feature Luca Nanetti, CCO of CMG Granulators, and Claudio Navone, Sales and Operations Manager – Recycling Department at AMUT Recycling.
At the heart of the presentation is a topic that concerns the entire recycling value chain: producing recycled materials with consistent properties suitable for their final applications requires careful attention at every stage of the process. Plant design choices and processing quality play a key role in determining the possible applications and value of recovered materials.
The contribution of size reduction
CMG will explore the role of granulation in determining regrind quality. Consistent particle size and dust control help make downstream processing more stable, reduce waste and enhance the value of recovered material.
Regrind with consistent characteristics helps reduce production variability and improve process stability downstream. This is the principle behind the “Not All Regrind Is the Same” message, through which CMG highlights the importance of size reduction for the efficiency of the entire recycling value chain.
AMUT: Process stability and plant flexibility
AMUT will bring the perspective of advanced mechanical recycling plant engineering, exploring the role of design choices in ensuring stable process conditions.
The presentation will showcase large-scale installations featuring independent and diversified lines, integrated into the overall plant design to handle different incoming materials and produce different types of output materials.
Particular attention will be given to reducing water and energy consumption, as well as enabling simple and safe recipe changes, adapting the process to the characteristics of available materials and market requirements.
Plant design choices and the value of recycled materials
Luca Nanetti will also present several case studies developed in collaboration, highlighting how plant design choices can contribute to transforming industrial waste into recycled materials intended for higher value-added applications. The case studies will connect the characteristics of incoming material streams with the specifications required for the final product.
Compliance 2030: Regrind quality and market requirements
The presentation is part of the Compliance 2030 initiative, through which CMG explores how regrind quality can contribute to preparing for evolving market needs and the development of the European regulatory framework, including the PPWR, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
For recyclers and processors, improving the quality of recovered material means having a more predictable secondary raw material for processing and one that is better suited to the specifications of final applications.
Meet us at the Recycling Theatre and booth E1006
The session will take place on 23 September 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:20 pm, at the Recycling Theatre at Messe Frankfurt.
The CMG team will also be available at booth E1006 on 23 and 24 September to discuss the application requirements of recyclers and processors and solutions for achieving high-quality regrind.
