CMG Granulators at PRS India 2026: Regrind Quality, Compliance 2030, and the EV 92-220 for Plastic Recycling
8 July 2026
Officially unveiled at PRS India 2026, the new manufacturing subsidiary has been established to support from within the growth of one of the world’s most dynamic markets in plastics processing and recycling.
India is now one of the countries where the future of plastics processing and recycling is being shaped. The growth of industrial production, investments in infrastructure, regulatory developments and increasing attention to the quality of recycled materials are accelerating a transformation that is set to have a global impact.
It is from this awareness that CMG India, the new manufacturing subsidiary of CMG Granulators, was established and officially unveiled during PRS India 2026.
Operational from September 2026 in Pune, CMG India represents a strategic step in the company’s international growth and confirms its commitment to being present where new opportunities for the plastics processing and recycling industry are emerging.
Being close to customers means creating more value
For CMG, opening a new facility does not simply mean expanding its geographical presence.
It means being closer to customers, understanding their needs, supporting their technological development and creating solutions capable of improving production efficiency and the quality of recycled materials.
With CMG India, processors, recyclers and plant manufacturers will be able to rely on a technology partner directly present in the local market, combining local expertise with the quality standards that have distinguished CMG technology for more than forty years.
Local manufacturing, CMG technology
The new subsidiary will manufacture equipment designed according to CMG’s original design, maintaining the same technological, quality and performance standards that have made the company an international benchmark in plastics size-reduction technology.
Local manufacturing will make it possible to:
- reduce delivery times;
- increase competitiveness;
- provide faster and more direct technical support;
- develop solutions that are increasingly tailored to the needs of the Indian market.
Alongside manufacturing, a dedicated centre of expertise will be established, focusing on local design, plant engineering, technical support and business development.
A specialized team, trained directly in CMG technology, will support customers throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Innovation, regrind quality and the circular economy
The establishment of CMG India is part of the company’s strategy to support the ongoing evolution of the plastics recycling industry.
Today, the challenges of the circular economy are not limited to increasing the quantities of recycled material. Above all, they concern the ability to obtain a consistent, high-quality material suitable for subsequent production processes.
That is why CMG continues to invest in the development of technologies capable of producing homogeneous, uniform and high-performance regrind, helping to increase plant efficiency, the value of recovered material and the competitiveness of companies.
This vision is encapsulated in the message accompanying the company’s international communication: Not all regrind is the same.
The technologies presented during PRS India 2026 embody this philosophy, offering solutions capable of making a tangible contribution to improving recycling quality, reducing energy consumption and supporting the industry in addressing the new challenges of Compliance 2030 and the circular economy.
Giorgio Santella, CEO of CMG
“We look at India from a perspective that goes beyond the idea of expanding into a new market. We consider it one of the key hubs where the future of advanced plastics recycling is being defined. Being present means actively contributing to this transformation by supporting customers with technology, expertise and a local structure capable of turning operational proximity into tangible value.
With CMG India, we are bringing an industrial approach based on innovation, regrind quality, energy efficiency and the development of tailor-made solutions for every process. We are convinced that the future of recycling depends on strong partnerships, technical continuity and an increasingly integrated presence aligned with our customers’ needs, together with the use of reliable and efficient technologies that support stable, high-quality processes.”
CMG India: a local presence, a global vision
With CMG India, CMG is strengthening its international presence and consolidating an industrial vision built around customer proximity, technological innovation and the ability to support the evolution of plastics recycling in the markets where this future is already taking shape.
Because where recycling grows, technology grows too.
