CMG at Ecomondo 2026: recycling quality starts with the regrind
12 October 2026
On November 11–12, 2026, CMG Granulators will be in Cleveland, Ohio, at Booth R2509. Its participation will focus on the EV92 series and the new EV92-160-T, guided by one message: “Same plastic. Different results.”
CMG returns to Plastics Recycling World Expo North America, an event dedicated to the North American plastics recycling industry in which the company has participated for many years.
It will be an opportunity to meet customers, partners, and industry professionals and explore how granulation contributes to recovered material quality and process efficiency.
Same plastic. Different results
The same plastic can deliver different results. Granulation technology helps determine regrind dimensional consistency, the presence of dust and microparticles, and the characteristics of material intended for downstream processing.
When choosing a granulator, throughput and output quality therefore need to be assessed alongside energy consumption, operational continuity, and maintenance.
This is the approach CMG will bring to Cleveland through the EV92 series for post-consumer plastics recycling and the EV92-160-T, developed to address a specific production requirement in thermoforming.
EV92 series: throughput and regrind quality
Designed for large-scale recycling in wet or dry applications, the EV92 series includes the EV92-160 and EV92-220, offering different throughput options to meet plant requirements.
The open rotor and cutting configuration are designed to counteract material drag, limiting the formation of dust and microparticles and promoting dimensional consistency in the regrind.
Energy efficiency is another key strength: for the EV92 series, CMG reports energy consumption reductions of up to 50% compared with conventional granulators.
Maintenance is simplified by a fully lifting hopper, which provides access to the cutting chamber from all four sides, and a reversible segmented screen. Hardox wear-resistant steel cutting chamber components meet the demands of intensive applications.

EV92-160-T: engineering starts with the process
The new EV92-160-T was developed in response to a specific thermoforming application requirement, demonstrating CMG’s ability to engineer customized solutions.
The starting point is an analysis of production needs: the materials to be processed, layout, available space, and customer objectives.
Regrind quality, energy efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance guide development, alongside integration into the production process. The result is a dedicated design that turns an application requirement into a practical solution.
Not all regrind is the same
The EV92 series and the new EV92-160-T put the principle “Not all regrind is the same” into practice: assessing granulation means considering both the characteristics of the resulting material and the efficiency with which it is produced.
In Cleveland, the CMG team will be available to discuss application requirements, configurations, and plastics recovery projects.
